Klipplaatz Bush Lodge

Description

Peacefully located within 600 hectares of pristine north-west bushveld, is the intimate and luxurious eco-tented bush lodge, Klipplaatz.

The environmentally-friendly lodge boasts 15 totally private four-star camps where tranquillity and silence are the order of the day.

Klipplaatz is situated just outside Gauteng, on the Thabazimbi road, 30 kilometres north-west of Brits. Guests are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and share their surroundings with nine different species of wildlife including zebra, impala, blesbok and an abundance of flora.

The lodge is built to respect and be close to nature, and every camp is battery and gas operated. Each luxury tent also boasts a private open-air shower so that guests can even get closer to the true feel of the South African bushveld and the warm glow of the early morning sun.

Self-drive game viewing, nature walks, bird watching and cycling (mountain-biking) are encouraged; and to keep to the soothing atmosphere of Klipplaatz and listen to nature’s sounds, we do not permit any quad bikes on the property.

For the more social occasions, a restaurant area with a heated swimming pool and activities such as table tennis and Pool are available. Satellite television, additional ablutions and designated braai facilities are also set up in and around this area. The licensed bar and restaurant are available to groups with prior arrangement with management. For the younger children we have a jungle gym and a sandpit for their enjoyment.

To make sure our guests stay safe, we have 24-hour armed security.

Accommodation

The 6-bed camps contain three luxury, fully furnished safari tents: two with double beds, the third with two single beds. And our 4-bed camps contain two luxury, fully furnished safari tents: one with a double bed, the other with two single beds. All tents have en-suite bathrooms with a hand basin, toilet and an open-air shower.

Each camp also has its own private fully equipped kitchen lapa with all amenities, including a four-plate gas stove with oven, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery and scullery, table and chairs. Furthermore each camps also had its own private boma area where guests can braai and relax around a camp fire under the stars. You might even hear the roar of lions from neighbouring farms. Camps are serviced daily by our friendly staff.

Teambuilding

We offer teambuilding in-house for up to 40 guests, designing an adventure track that will be fun for all, activities include, archery (Robin Hood Bow) - target range or 3D walk and stalk and paintball. Then we also offer more advanced team building activities with various accredited mobile companies. Their highly professional and specialized teams will ensure that the programmes and courses they offer will enhance the performance and productivity of the individual, the team and your organization.

Directions

Take the N4 to Rustenburg. Take the Brits / R511 off-ramp. Turn right at the intersection. Here you need to take the first distance reading. Drive for 30 km on this road. This will take you through the town of Brits and over railway tracks. About 4 km after the railway track you will find the Veekraal / Dikololo turn-off. Turn right here. You will be on a gravel road now. Drive for 8,4 km on this road. Here you will find a intersection. Turn left here and drive for 3.4 km where you will find the main entrance of Klipplaatz on your left.
